What a disappointment.
I just exhibited at The Mompreneur Marketplace in the Distillery District and would you believe, that in the whole day I was there, I did not make one sale? I wondered, was something horribly wrong with my clothing line? I started second guessing my product, was it just plain hideous and all along my naivete blinded me?
I found it odd that as a pre-holiday tradeshow with free admission, the space occupied in the Distillery District would be so desolate. Other vendors were feeling this same sense of panic and over the course of the longest day on earth, I heard from another vendor that the arrival of Santa and his crew for the Santa Clause Parade had mothers and children flocking to that instead. Of course they would rather attend the most hightly anticipated event of the year with their children, than be inside buying gifts.
So, you win some, you lose some. But there can be a lesson learned from this, (and one I will never forget) - before spending the money to be a vendor at a trade show, make sure there are no bigger and better events happening in the city.

Best Birthday Present - Ever!
Well today was my birthday, (no I'm not going to tell you how old I turned) and to mark the special occasion my munchie presented me with the best birthday present ever and one I will never forget - He learned to walk on this day!
What a thoughtful little guy....I love him!

Children's Trunk Show recap
Well what a crazy two days it was. The Children's Trunk show was a big success and I'm pooped! As presumed, I was up into the wee hours of the morning of the Show sewing fiendishly away - praying my trusted Husqvarna wouldn't break down on me.
Funny thing, the first day my Reversible Snooze Sacks sold like hotcakes, so after the first evening of the show, I stayed up sewing more so I would have enough stock to last me through till the end of the next day.
But guess what? I only sold one of the Snooze Sacks on day 2 and instead it was Reversible Tie Dresses that became the popular seller at my booth. One thing I learned, there is no such thing as consistency - but isn't that what keeps things fun?
